🎯 Objective
Improving household food security, increasing income opportunities, and building long-term resilience for vulnerable communities.
🌾 Our Impact
The livelihood activity was implemented in 2026 as a direct response to the findings of a livelihood needs assessment conducted in targeted areas following demining activities and the reopening of access to agricultural land and pastures. The assessment showed that many households—especially the most vulnerable—had lost key productive livestock assets during years of conflict, significantly reducing their ability to generate sustainable income.
The assessment recommended restoring a minimum level of productive assets as a critical entry point for economic recovery, improved food security, and strengthened self-reliance.
Based on these findings, REACHOUT Org in partnership with ITF conducted a field distribution on 19–20 May 2026, targeting 50 vulnerable households across four liberated villages: Ab Al-Shawk, Qubri Al-Hajji, Nofaliya, and Kharbat Al-Shaib.
📦 Key Results
- 🐑 100 ewes distributed (pregnant or with newborns) to restore livestock assets and productive capacity
- 🌾 5,000 kg of barley provided as essential livestock feed support
- 👨👩👧👦 50 vulnerable households reached across four villages
- 🧑🏫 Beneficiaries trained on livestock care and management to improve animal health, productivity, and sustainable husbandry practices
- 📍 Targeted post-clearance communities with restored access to agricultural land and grazing areas
